A multicultural city geared towards work, Milan is also a beautiful city with many monuments and stylish buildings of historical and artistic importance such as Castello Sforzesco, the gothic cathedral (Duomo), Church of Santa Maria delle Grazie which contains Leonardo’s Last Supper, the Brera Palace displaying the city’s chief art collection and the opera house of La Scala. Milan is a young metropolis with many bars, restaurants and nightclubs and plenty of nice shops. The city also has two universities, both founded in the 1920s’, in particular La Sapienza University is one of the most renowned faculties in Italy. The Italian capital of Fashion, Milan is the scene of many fashion shows and, if your wallet can afford it, shopping in via Montenapoleone is an experience not to be missed!
