The village of Manarola is perched on a black rocky promontory surrounded by vines. In the upper side of the village is Manarola’s most interesting monument: the gothic church of San Lorenzo dating back to the 14th century. The “Love Walk”, a scenic footpath dug out of the cliff wall that links Manarola with Riomaggiore, starts here. The walk is 2 km long and is a fantastic spot to enjoy the views over the whole gulf.
